Don't be nervous! Sarah has sooo much experience at kids parties, that she's picked up alot of tips along the way....here are a few to make it a stress-free time for you...
1. AVOID DISTRACTIONS
Distractions can cause you to lose valuable time from your party. Sarah is sometimes running on a tight schedule and will need to leave at the allotted time slot, so stopping the party, or distractions for kids can cause party pauses!
Here are a list of the main distractions that can cause delays in a party:
* Do not serve food or drink until AFTER the magic/games/show : this can also be dangerous (lollipops while dancing/drinks being spilled)
* Present-opening: Suggested that you leave until after Sarah has gone.
* Bouncey castles: please deflate until the entertainment has ended
* No Toys: please tidy toys away before your guests arrive, particularly noisey/musical toys
2. KEEP NOISE LEVEL LOW
If you're planning to have TV on or music, please turn them off/down while the entertainment is happening.
If you're planning to have adults at your party, please organise to be in a separate room while the entertainment is going on or ask them to keep the noise level low.
3. INDOORS IS BEST
It's nice to have kids playing in the garden on a nice day, however we suggest that entertainment be indoors, because of strong sunshine, strong wind and distracting outdoor toys, such as swings/slides. Kids can be released into the wild outdoors when the entertainment is over and while they're waiting their turn for face painting.
4. DRINKS
For drinks, a suggestion is Juice box drinks or drinks with a straw and carton to reduce spillage - if you're extra-organised, stick labels on with the kids names on them, so they know which is theirs
5. SARAH CAN'T SUPERVISE CHILDREN WHILE ENTERTAINING
You are hiring Sarah to entertain, not supervise children. Please ensure that there are adults present at all times should the children require assistance. It can be disruptive if we need to stop all entertainment to tend to the needs of a single child.
6. TODDLERS & BABIES
Unless you are hiring Sarah for a baby and toddler party, please make sure that the tots are fully supervised while entertainment for older kids is taking place. For health & safety reasons, particularly during games, babies/toddlers need to be removed or held by adults to avoid being trampled on, danced on or bumped over!
7. PARKING SPOT
If possible, please leave an area close to your house free for Sarah to park in. Please bear in mind, that she will be leaving, perhaps before some of your guests, so make sure that her car isn't blocked in
8. PAYMENT
If paying on the day, please have the money prepared in an envelope
