Book-Themed Crafts....
Workshop Duration: 1 Hour
Group Max: 20
Age: 5-7, 8-12
I recommend kids being divided into these age groups, due to their attention span and ability. However, if you have a mixture of ages, this can work too - just ask me before the day
Educational & Fun! Content Includes
* Book & Author discussion
* Theme & Extracts discussion
* Design & Craft done by the kids!
These workshops are designed to take children away from screens and back books, to explore where the real magic begins. Every movie, game and app begins with an idea, a creative spark.
I introduce the kids to the authors of the books, discuss extracts of the book specific to the theme of the workshop and, where necessary, discuss the movie and how it differs from the book.
Each workshop is completed with a craft!
By making a craft at the end of the workshops, it's a way for children to explore their own creativity, while delving deeper into the themes and characters of the book.
I provide everything - all I need from you is the space to work in!
For your Community/youth group, why not read the book in advance, have a workshop and then watch the movie?
If you have a favourite book that you'd like to have explored further, please get in touch and I will attempt to design an appropriate workshop for you.
